The second day of the HDBank international chess tournament in Ho Chi Minh City takes place on the occasion of international women's day (March 8), let's join the organizers to send the congratulations to our beautiful female chess generals.

Vice Chairman of Vietnam Chess Federation Nguyen Phuoc Trung, Deputy Chairman of the Organizing Committee said chess is a special sport when the female players compete in a fair match with the male players in open tournaments. Vietnam chess coach Lam Minh Chau shared: "When a female player fights with men, they have the advantage of being diligent and careful but this is sometimes a weakness because they are perfectionist, lack of risky. . However, some male players when playing against female players suddenly "lost their souls", could not concentrate, some were in psychologically effects, imprudent, so they lost to the the ladies. "
The second game witnessed the most surprising and impressive thing is that the player Pham Le Thao Nguyen (elo 2,374) defeated Grandmaster Nguyen Duc Hoa (elo 2,450) in a stunning games after 90 moves. Kim Phung (elo 2.349) have a draw with Zhao Yuanhe (China, elo 2.431). Thanh An force the former world women's champion Stefanova Antoaneta (Bulgaria, elo 2,493) to share a point.
